History
of Poker
Poker was born in or around New Orleans in die 1820s, of an ancestry including Primero, Brag, Bouillotte, Poch, Poque, and others. The basis of modern
Poker evolved by about 1870, and it has since become virtually America's national card game. Unlike most great games, especially Bridge, it is played in many different forms, often deliberately, at the same table and in tile same session, which can disconcert the beginner. Poker is a game of skill, in that it offers the player considerable choice of play. The chance element of the deal can be negated, in the long run, by a conscious or intuitive grasp of mathematical principles, die accurate management of financial resources, and the application of practical psychology. The mark of Poker's greatness, like that of Bridge, is not that some people play it very well, but that so many play it very badly.
Poker
has been a popular card game for years, possibly the most popular
casino game. Nowadays, most of the online casinos have some form
of Poker. Even television has jumped on the bandwagon with shows
such is the World Series of Poker and Hollywood Celebrity Poker
just to name a few. There are all kinds of Poker tournaments
played almost everywhere in world.
Poker, just like every other game, requires skills in order to
play. Basic know how is not enough. It is imperative to develop a strategy if you want to win.
Actually, some feel it is easier to play at an online casino; the
reason being you don’t face the other players. Your opponents
can’t see your expressions which makes it difficult to perceive
your moves.
Online casinos have played a big role in the Poker explosion.
Let’s face it, poker is BIG, it’s getting bigger everyday and
it’s here to stay.
